Al-Majd is a vision to establish a functional mosque & educational centre in the city of Manchester in the UK. Al-Majd would serve as a hub for community gatherings and events, as well as a beacon of support for the advancement of both secular and religious knowledge among youth and adults in the area. Operating as a mosque, it would offer:

• 5 times daily prayers.

• Special occasion prayers like Friday, Eid and Tarawih.

• Religious lessons such as Quran, Tafsir, Hadith and Fiqh.

• Zikr groups and tasawwuf practices.

Operating as an academic educational centre, it would offer:

• Academic lessons from qualified teachers in some of the main Secondary school subjects.

• Help for students preparing for GCSE or A-level exams.

We understand that this project is long-term and is still in its early stages; however, we hope that won’t dissuade people from being optimistic in, and supporting, our cause. Based on a common trajectory, we predict Al-Majd to open sometime in 2030 or 2031.
